GO Wellington gave the ride of your life

GO Wellington today handed over a cheque worth more than $8300 to the Wellington Free Ambulance, representing all cash fares taken on its buses during the second Ride of Your Life event held in November.

“GO Wellington was proud to be able to donate all cash fares taken on the buses between 6pm and 10.30pm on 5 November to the Wellington Free Ambulance service,” says Bruce Kenyon, General Manager of GO Wellington. 

The three hour Ride of Your Life show was held on Wellington’s waterfront and preceded the annual Pelorus Trust Sky Show.  The event aimed to raise funds and awareness for the Wellington Free Ambulance service, which has been serving the Wellington community since 1927.
